Knysna is world famous for its indigenous forests and beautiful timber. We are lucky enough to have a plentiful supply of beautiful hardwoods, sourced from local timber yards and wood merchants. Some of these woods are indigenous, such as Yellowwood, Wild Olive and Pear and are sustainably harvested from surrounding areas. Others are from alien trees - especially the Blackwood - which provide a rich, colourful grain, and is used widely for furniture and various types of woodwork.
